Located in the heart of Westboro Village, award winning photographer Michelle Valberg leads her team of highly talented professionals, including Valerie Keeler and Lindsey Gibeau. All three photographers are dedicated to using their creativity to fuse art and science with breathtaking results.
The Valberg Imaging vision will bring your dreams to life. We specialize in executive and family portraits, pregnancy and infant portraits, commercial, aerial and architectural photography, weddings and corporate events. If you can dream it, we can do it! All of Valberg Imaging’s images are lovingly enhanced by our experienced photographers.
VI offers custom in-house large format printing services to our clients. We can print up to 44” wide and we specialize in canvas printing and gallery wraps.

Michelle Valberg
Michelle Valberg is an award-winning Canadian photographer, renowned for her soulful portraiture and stunning landscapes. She possesses a magical combination of artistic creativity, entrepreneurial spirit and community commitment with a diverse career and excellent reputation. Valberg’s work has appeared in numerous magazines including National Geographic, US Magazine, In Style, Above & Beyond, Ottawa Life, Canadian Geographic, PhotoLife, Reader’s Digest and Chatelaine, and has been the subject of her two self-published books—Look Beyond… The Faces & Stories of People with HIV/AIDS and Dare to Dream… A Celebration of Canadian Women, which became a national bestseller. Each of her book projects has raised money for Ottawa-based charities. Valberg is currently at work on her third book — Arctic Kaleidscope... The People, Wildlife and Ever-Changing Landscape —due to be released in 2012.
In addition to artist and entrepreneur, Michelle is also a teacher, mentor and philanthropist. She helps cultivate new artists through her involvement with her alma mater Algonquin College where she holds the inaugural “Hall of Fame” induction for photography in the School of Media & Design, was named “Alumna of the Year” in 2005 and now sits on the Algonquin College Foundation board. She has also given her time and talents freely to raise countless dollars for various charities which include: St. Joe’s Women’s Shelter, The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, The Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, The Ottawa Humane Society, The Food Bank, The Ottawa Heart Institute, The Ottawa Hospital, and the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre. Michelle is the President of Project North, a not-for-profit corporation that is dedicated to improving the lives of children living in Inuit communtiies through sport and education.
Michelle is currently a board member of the United Way, The Algonquin College Foundation and the Youth Services Bureau Community Foundation.
Michelle’s entrepreneurial achievements and community involvement have garnered her recognition with the 2000 YMCA/YWCA Women of Distinction Award in the Arts category, as Ottawa’s 2003 Businesswoman of the Year and in 2004 a spot on the list of Ottawa’s Top 40 Under 40.
CHEO gave Michelle the "Order of the Good Bear" in 2011 for her dedication and work with the hospital. Also in 2011, Michelle proudly showcased 84 pieces of her Arctic work in a three month solo exhibition at the Canadian Museum of Nature which was a huge success.
Michelle will be releasing her first children's book called "Ben and Nuki Discover Polar Bears" in the spring of 2012.

Valerie Keeler
With her artistic flare and attention to detail, Val has become a leading photographer in the Ottawa area. Val has been photographing for VI for the past 6 years and she is also the studio manager. Specializing in portraits and weddings, Val puts all her clients at ease with her sense of spirit, creativity and her professionalism. She is always open to new discoveries and seizing the power of the moment. Val’s creative vision and post production expertise will make your photographic experience at VI a powerful one.
Lindsey Gibeau
Very early on, Lindsey viewed life through the lens of her camera, fascinated by the idea of capturing moments forever. Her passion for photography led her to Guelph-Humber University in Toronto where she graduated with a BAA, focused on media studies and a Creative Photography Diploma. She understands the power behind a single image and believes connecting with her subject is of great importance. Skilled in all areas of photography, she gravitates towards landscape and event photography in search of truth and loves the creativity involved in fashion photography.
Adventurous and free-spirited, she documented travels west of Canada and found herself living, exploring and shooting the beauty of Australia.
Lindsey is now the office manager and event photographer at VI and is thrilled to be part of a team of powerful women. She eagerly awaits both personal and professional growth.
