Michelle Valberg is a Nikon Ambassador and an award-winning wildlife/portrait/landscape photographer who has been telling stories with her camera for more than 35 years. She is the owner and primary photographer at Valberg Imaging Inc. in Ottawa, Canada.
She has traveled to all continents in search of adventure and photographic opportunities. Her captivating images grace magazine covers, as well, they are featured in numerous publications, exhibitions, and hang in embassies worldwide. Michelle’s iconic images also appear on plane tails, a Royal Canadian Mint coin as well as Canada Post stamps.
Beyond photography, Michelle is also well known for her philanthropy. She is a public speaker, author, community leader and advocate for animals, the environment and conservation.
Michelle was awarded the Julia Margaret Cameron Award for Women Photographers and the International Big Picture Terrestrial Wildlife Award. In 2022, Michelle won the gold medal for wildlife at the World Photographic Cup and received the Order of Canada.
